Based in NYC, Harrison Roth is a multi-disciplinary artist with skills and experience in Music Direction, Electronic Music Design, Orchestration, Music Preparation, and much more. Harrison is an Electronic Music Designer for Strange Cranium Productions, leading projects on Broadway and at historic venues such as Radio City Music Hall and the Hollywood Bowl. Design credits include: The Lost Boys, The Queen of Versailles, The Last Five Years, Floyd Collins, Crazy Sexy Cool: The TLC Musical, Purple Rain, The Great Gatsby, JOY, Saturday Church, and more.
In 2024, Harrison served as Music Director for the National Tour of Shrek the Musical, where he conducted the show nightly from Key 1. As music director, Harrison aided in the development of this reimagined production alongside the original writers and a new creative team. Other credits include Playhouse Square’s production of Bare (Music Director) and The Sound of Music presented by The Cleveland Orchestra (Associate Music Director). Recent orchestration credits include the revival of Songs From an Unmade Bed at 54 Below, The BCEFA Red Bucket Follies, and Borden, a new musical in development by Cavan Hendron.
With a Bachelor of Music in Music Direction from Baldwin Wallace University, Harrison has a diverse background in conducting, piano performance, music technology, vocal performance, and vocal pedagogy. Harrison is the recipient of the 2022 International John and Mary Virginia Foncannon Choral Conducting Award and the 2021 Betty Lou Scandling Hubin Award for Music Technology.
